Dos Marcos | Northwest Arkansas Commercial Photography

If you’ve ever longed to listen to a podcast about the mattress industry, look no further than the Dos Marcos Mattress Podcast. The reason you shouldn’t look any further is in fact, because they have the monopoly on mattress podcasts. In these strange and uncertain times, show hosts Mark Kinsley and Mark Quinn (hence the name dos Marcos) decided to write a book about marketing in their industry as well as some of their widely used and most successful marketing practices.

To balance their information and their professional side, “Kinsley” and “Quinn” (we resorted to calling them by their last names on the shoot for obvious reasons) let fly their personalities on the podcast, making it a fun and entertaining listen even if you don’t know or care about mattresses or marketing. We’ve worked with Kinsley on a number of projects ranging from his brand Kippo to his involvement with Englander Mattress Company. The ideas for this photoshoot were simple….just have fun and come up with some scenes and things to do where the guys could just be silly, goof off and visually capture their personalities.

Here’s a few of the resulting images.

** PLEASE NOTE WITH REGARDS TO THE CYCLING PHOTOS **

This portion of the shoot was conducted in a slow, safe and controlled manner in order to compensate for the lack of bicycle helmets. Under all other normal cycling circumstances, we do practice and preach the use of helmets as a mandatory safety measure

Enjoy.

Gourmet Insider Feature: Honeycomb Kitchen Shop

Say hello to the Honeycomb Kitchen Shop (again). Awhile back, we featured them on our blog as our dear friends and business neighbors. But we recently had the opportunity to create some content for an out-of-state client who wanted to feature them on a broader stage. We spent a few hours creating video and photo content of their shop and also interviewed shop owners, Melissa Turpin and Dana Smith with the video cameras rolling. These two are passionate about what they do and they continue to find new and innovative ways to make good products and cooking knowledge readily available to everyone. This goes without saying that when you have a choice in purchasing things for your home, your kitchen and your culinary adventures, please remember to shop small and especially, to shop here.

DH Farms | Northwest Arkansas Commercial Photography

Today on the blog, new work for the University of Arkansas’s Center for Farms and Food. For this photoshoot, we visited a small family-run, certified organic farm atop a beautiful hill outside of Westfork Arkansas. The farm is simply known as the dH farm and they offer everything from fresh vegetables and flowers, to meats and eggs. Frank, the resident intern at the farm (as well as the rest of the family), took us on a tour of the grounds and introduced us to all the animals including their two dogs, Naomi (pictured above) and Rex, a little floppy-eared brute. For more information on dH farm’s products, visit their Fayetteville Farmer’s Market Website vendor page here.

Red Barn Bentonville | Northwest Arkansas Commercial Photography

Today on the blog, new work for the University of Arkansas’s Center for Farms and Food. For this photoshoot, we payed a visit to the farm at Red Barn in Bentonville, the first official residential community with an operational farm on the property. This model of living is known as an agrihood and Red Barn is the first of its kind in the state of Arkansas. Among its fresh food amenities, Red Barn also boasts beautiful living spaces, indoor/outdoor community gathering spaces and direct access to Bentonville’s nearby mountain biking trails. And of course, residents (and non-residents alike) have the wonderful, year-round, farm-to-table experience of knowing EXACTLY where their produce comes from. For more information, visit their website here.
