I always value my time working with people in the food service industry, especially Chefs. For a Chef to take precious time out of their prep work to accommodate a photographer in their own restaurant space is the kindest of gestures. And that’s exactly what Chef Rafael Rios of Yeyo’s did for me recently, when Arkansas Times hired me to photograph him and his space for a magazine article. Prior to the shoot, Chef Rios told me to “Come Hungry”.

Read MoreNot all wedding celebrations involve white dresses, crazy dance moves and pyrotechnic send-offs. Case in point, Anthony and Sarah's intimate wedding celebration. But even though this informal celebration was limited to very close family and friends, it was not without its "pyrotechnics". Among the evening's festivities were life-sized lawn games, cotton candy, popcorn, a poolside fire pit, classy music, a little bit of dancing and a dinner cooked by Chef William Lyle. Not to mention, all of the gorgeous details and decorations produced by Melissa Holmes of Sweet Tea Designs. And while everything about their celebration was well thought out and top-notch, the entire theme of the evening was about having a small, intimate get-together with family and close friends.
