Say hello to Tim and Shanna. They were married last week in Tulsa and after months of emailing back and forth, I had the distinct privilege of meeting them in person for the first time and also, documenting their beautiful wedding day.

I grew up in Tulsa and I always welcome to the chance to return and photograph there, especially when it's a wedding. And their celebration was an incredibly fun way to spend a Saturday. Elizabeth injected a lot her own personality into the details of the wedding. Being a die hard Hanson fan, she made sure that her church's hand bell choir performed a rendition of their hit song "mmmbop" during the ceremony. Hanson also showed up again in the beer selection for the reception guests with their signature brew, "mmmhops". And as much as Elizabeth wanted her beloved cat Oliver to attend the wedding, she opted for a life-sized cardboard likeness of him instead. And of course, that was awesome. Here's a few images from their day, along with our sincerest well-wishes and congratulations. Enjoy.
Read MoreThis past weekend, I had the honor and privilege of witnessing one of my very dear friends marry the girl that he has grown to know and love. I've known Ryan for years now. I remember the time we drove to Little Rock to see the band Wilco perform. I remember a road trip to Florida complete with the entire series of Friends, ocean-side shenanigans and the theft of a piece of musical equipment that we blamed on a local "pirate". I also remember conversations about life, love and the vast expanse in between. So it was with a great mix of emotions that I witnessed and photographed his wedding. But on top of all the emotions is the satisfaction of knowing that he has found a deep love and connection with Amanda, who seems to makes him smile wider and laugh louder than I've ever seen or heard. Congratulations, you two.
