Paddle Arkansas 2016 | Northwest Arkansas Editorial Photography

My absolute favorite part of living in Arkansas is the natural beauty everywhere and the variety of outdoor activities that the environment facilitates. I'll take any opportunity I can to work with clients that are supporting these outdoor activities; partly because I believe in them and partly because I really enjoy them. As most of you know, I'm an avid cyclist and I also enjoy a good hike and a good camping spot. But long before I was enjoying the outdoors by bicycle, by foot or by campfire, I was enjoying them on the water. Although I'm technically from Oklahoma, I grew up fishing and boating the lakes and rivers of Arkansas and to this day, those experiences are hands down, some of the best memories I have of my childhood.

Over the past year, I've had the opportunity to work with the Arkansas Times Publishing Group out of Little Rock as they've embarked on the creation of a series of magazines that are specifically geared towards outdoor activities here in Arkansas. Among them, are Arkansas Wild, Bike Arkansas, Run Arkansas, Fish Arkansas and now, Paddle Arkansas. I recently had the opportunity to spend some time with the infamous MIke MIlls, owner of the Buffalo Outdoor Center. He showed me around and we took a short trip on the Upper Buffalo River to capture some images for the inaugural issue. Here are a few of my favorites.

Enjoy.

But also, get outside and see it for yourself!
