10 // Happy Valentine's Day

There are lots of things to love about being a small creative company. Valentine’s Day would be a great day to list off how awesome our clients are and how much we love them. We could go on and on about how much we love what we do and the fact that we get to do it everyday. But instead, I (Philip) am going to get a bit personal and tell you all how much I love my wife.

Valentine’s Day is not just a holiday about love for me. Valentine’s Day is also my wedding anniversary and today marks 10 years of marriage with my wife Kristen (aka Novogirl). My wife plays an integral role in this business. She keeps up with the books. She photographs weddings with me. And most importantly, she supports and encourages me. Many of you reading probably know her well. Her sweet spirit and contagious laugh always helps with the stress of a wedding day and her attention to details always helps me create better images. I truly could not do any of this without her.

10 years of marriage goes by fast. For me, it feels more like 4 or 5. I could say that “time flies when you’re having fun” but marriage isn’t always fun and neither is life. But even on the worst of days, I wouldn’t rather be journeying through this life with anyone else. 10 years of tackling life’s ups and downs has forged a deep bond between us. And the next 10, with our two children in tow, will undoubtedly forge that bond even deeper. While it’s true that I handle most of the creative work at Novo Studio, anything I create and share with the world has her blood, sweat and tears as well.

Here’s to the journey ahead for the eternity to come.  Happy Valentine’s Day.
